Changes to unfair dismissal rules which could save nearly £6 million a year for British business have been announced. The decision will see the qualification period for the right to claim unfair dismissal extended from one to two years.
Although the detail has yet to be fleshed out, it appears that from April 2013 Employment Tribunals will charge fees upon lodging a claim and later upon the case being listed for hearing. The reforms form part of BIS' Employment Law Review.
